01. Information We Collect & Disclosures

We only collect information that is necessary to provide you with the Vulply service. This includes:

  • Account Information: Your email address and full name when you register.
  • Persona Data: Professional bios, links, and documents that you voluntarily upload to customize comment generation. We store persona data only when you explicitly create or update your persona.
  • Usage Data: Reddit thread URLs, selected text, or user-entered drafts processed to generate AI writing suggestions.
  • Activity Logs: When you generate a reply, we store the Reddit post title and URL in our usage ledger to track credit consumption and prevent abuse. We also log AI token usage per generation for internal cost tracking. This data is linked to your account but is never shared with third parties.
  • Style Feedback: If you provide feedback on generated replies, we store examples of your preferred writing style to improve future personalization for your account.

Chrome Web Store Developer Disclosures:

  • When a user requests a draft or refinement on Reddit, Vulply may process the Reddit URL, post title, selected text, user-entered draft, and relevant visible context needed to generate the requested writing suggestion.
  • Vulply only processes the visible Reddit context selected or requested by the user.
  • Vulply does not collect Reddit passwords.
  • Vulply does not automatically post to Reddit.
  • Vulply does not scrape Reddit pages for training datasets.
  • Vulply stores persona information only when users create or update their persona.
  • The use of information received from Chrome APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  • Vulply uses submitted text and persona context to generate writing suggestions.
  • Users can delete their saved persona and account data by contacting support@vulply.com after submitting an account deletion request.
  • We store the Reddit post title and URL in our usage ledger each time a generation is made.
  • We log AI token usage per generation for internal cost tracking.
  • We do not sell user data.

02. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Generating relevant comment drafts via the OpenRouter API.
  • Managing credits, billing payments (via Stripe), and validating subscription tier status.
  • Tracking credit usage per generation, including the associated Reddit post title and URL, for accurate billing and usage history in your dashboard.
  • Abuse Prevention: Our system automatically monitors generation frequency. Accounts exhibiting bot-like behavior (more than 10 generations per 60 seconds) may be automatically suspended as a fraud prevention measure. You can contact support@vulply.com to appeal a suspension.
  • Logging AI model token consumption per user for internal cost management. This data is not shared externally.

03. Data Sharing & Security

We take security seriously and enforce strict protection rules:

  • No Sale of Data: We will never sell your personal information, persona context, or comment history to third parties.
  • Service Providers: We share data only with necessary infrastructure providers (Supabase for databases, Stripe for payment processing, OpenRouter for AI inference).
  • Data Privacy: All LLM API calls are handled securely. User persona contexts are sent to the AI model only as system prompts for real-time inference and are not used to train global models.

04. Cookies & Local Storage

We use secure local storage and authentication/session state to maintain your login session. We do not use intrusive cross-site tracking cookies or share visitor data with advertising networks.

The Vulply Chrome extension may use Chrome storage to save extension preferences, authentication/session state, selected tone, and onboarding status needed to provide personalized writing suggestions.

05. Your Data Rights & Deletion

You retain full control over your data. At any time, you can:

  • View and update your Cloud Persona fields in your Dashboard.
  • Deactivate your account: You can deactivate your account inside the Account Settings panel to pause all extension activities and cancel subscriptions.
  • Permanent Erasure: To permanently and irreversibly delete all personal data, persona text/documents, credit ledgers, and logs from our servers, send an email to support@vulply.com. We will process your deletion request within 30 days.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
